Algeco Scotsman acquires UK provider of modular buildings and cabins, RB Farquhar (Hires) Ltd

Leading global business services company focused on modular space and secure storage solutions, Algeco Scotsman, Tuesday announced its acquisition of RB Farquhar (Hires) Ltd.  RB Farquhar is a provider of modular buildings and cabins in the U.K. Under the terms of the investment, Farquhar Hires' fleet and five operating branches will be integrated into Algeco's business operations in the United Kingdom, known as Elliott.

Elliott managing director Mark Eburne, said the transaction allows the firm to better serve its customers who have operations throughout the British Isles. Eburne further said the investment reinforces Elliott’s business with a stronger local presence in Scotland and northern England.

Post the transaction, Algeco Scotsman will add almost 4,000 units to its fleet and branch operations in: Warrington in England and Inverness, Aberdeen, Falkirk and Glasgow in Scotland. Algeco has been keen on enhancing its business in the above regions, with the investment effectively in line with that strategy.
