Indian firm Komli Media has acquired a UK based Indoor Media Limited

Indian firm Komli Media has acquired the UK’s Indoor Media Ltd for an undisclosed amount. The deal was a cash and stock deal and is meant to reinforce the firm’s operations in the global market. Komli is a media network firm, keen on strengthening its international offering and increasing its portfolio.

The Indian firm expects the acquisition of Indoor Media Lab to allow it provide ethnic marketing solutions for the Asian community in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. Komli has strategic plans in place for the investment, mainly targeted at increasing its foothold in the above four major western markets. The strategy is inclusive of aspects of expansion such a strong brand and performance products across video, custom creative, mobile, brand impact measurement and performance optimization.

The London based Indoor Media was begun in 2007 and has grown into one of the foremost firms in the online ethnic marketing space focusing on South Asians. Its coverage includes over 400 sites in all verticals such as news, business, entertainment and women. Other than that, the firm provides an aggregate reach of 2.6 million ethnic minority unique users on its network Ad Masala.

With a team of ten employees, Indoor Media serves clients such as the UK government, Mercedes, Vodafone and Western Union money Transfer Company. Mumbai based Komli Media India Pvt Ltd was founded four years ago by Amar Goel and is backed by venture capital firms. It received its first round of funding in 2007 from Draper Fisher Jurvetson India (DFJ) and Helion Venture Partners and then from Nexus Venture Partners in 2008.
