    Stork Technical Services and Arle Tuesday announced the acquisition of RBG Limited, the UK based supplier of inspect, assess and repair services to the global energy industry. RBG Limited, which in 2010 had revenues of £300 million, has been acquired as a strategic addition to Stork Technical Services Holding B.V.

  • PhotonStar LED Group acquires Camtronics

    PhotonStar LED Group Plc, the British designer and manufacturer of smart LED lighting solutions, has acquired Camtronics Vale Limited for a maximum consideration of £375,000.

    Based in Tredegar Wales, Camtronics is a specialist contract assembly company, focusing on complex electronic products covering everything from surface mount PCB population to final product assembly, test and distribution.

  • Skan Group Holdings acquires businesses of both Reynolds Boughton Ltd and Reynolds Boughton (Devon) Ltd

    Skan Group Holdings Limited successfully completed the acquisition of the assets and businesses of both Reynolds Boughton Limited and Reynolds Boughton (Devon) Limited – previously collectively known as the Boughton Group.

  • Telgenco launches intelligent genset management solution for telecoms operators

    UK based Telgenco announced Friday the launch of its SNMP based intelligent generator management solution developed specifically for telecommunications operators. The Telgenco solution consists of a centralized management software suite with database, a local generator controller, and optionally Telgenco's own 5kW DC genset.

  • Trustmarque acquires Nimbus Technology Systems as part of its evolving cloud strategy

    Trustmarque Solutions, a Value Added Reseller (VAR), announced Thursday the acquisition of cloud infrastructure and hosted services provider, Nimbus Technology Systems Ltd.

    The acquisition provides Trustmarque with more breadth and depth of expertise in cloud service delivery as well as acquiring an expanded portfolio of managed cloud services from simple hosted email systems (hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007®) right through to complete hosted IT and Telecoms systems for larger organizations.

  • Sims Group UK completes acquisition of metals recycling business, Dunn Brothers Limited

    Sims Metal Management, the world's largest listed metal and electronic recycling company, Thursday announced that its subsidiary Sims Group UK Ltd (SimsMM UK) has completed the acquisition of Dunn Brothers (1995) Limited (Dunn), a leading UK metals recycling business.

    Dunn, a full-service ferrous and non-ferrous recycler, operates nine facilities that include a 6,000- horsepower shredder, non-ferrous recovery systems and dock facilities. Dunn’s key shredding and nonferrous recycling assets are located in its Birmingham facilities.

  • Team Telecom Group acquires IT consultancy C&C Technology

    Team Telecom Group (TTG) has acquired IT consultancy C&C Technology. The move comes as part of Team Telecom’s first phase of its planned expansion since a £32.8 million management buy-out backed by Gresham Private Equity in May 2010.  

    The investment combines the strengths of TTG and C&C in the aviation sector and brings additional capabilities and services to TTG’s aviation portfolio, which already includes AirRadio, a leader in mobile radio solutions for airport and airline operations.

  • Draftfcb acquires Blue Barracuda in London

    Draftfcb announced it has acquired Blue Barracuda in London, which provides full-service digital strategies across all aspects of digital communications for clients such as Pizza Hut, Getty Images, Roche Pharmaceuticals, and Nectar, among others.

  • Countrystyle Recycling purchases Halstead Renewable Power Project

    Countrystyle Recycling Ltd recently acquired the Halstead Renewable Power Project (HRPP) from Glendale Power, and will now forge ahead with the development of an Anaerobic Digestion Plant at the Essex site, for which full planning permission has been granted.

  • Zynga Inc. acquires UK-based mobile game developer Wonderland Software

    Zynga Inc. Friday announced it has acquired UK-based mobile game developer Wonderland Software, creator of GodFinger for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Wonderland Software will become Zynga Mobile UK, marking Zynga’s first operating studio in the UK.

    With this investment, Zynga is acquiring the team at Wonderland and select IP, not including GodFinger. Additional terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

  • iomart Group plc continues expanding its offering in the UK market

    iomart Group plc, the managed hosting and cloud computing services company has continued expanding its offering in the UK market with the purchase of Switch Media Limited. The award-winning Switch Media Limited is a domain name and hosting company based in Liverpool.

    iomart acquired the entire issued share capital of Switch Media Limited for a total cash consideration of £1.25 million.

  • GP Strategies Corp. subsidiary General Physics (UK) Ltd acquires Ultra Training Ltd

    GP Strategies Corporation, the corporate parent of global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), announced that GP's wholly-owned subsidiary, General Physics (UK) Ltd, has acquired Ultra Training Ltd, an independent skills training provider located in the United Kingdom.

    Ultra generated annualized revenue of $4.5 million for the year ending July 2010 and GP anticipates that the acquired business will be accretive to earnings-per-share in 2011. GP utilized cash-on-hand to fund the acquisition.

  • SPA Future Thinking acquires the Munro Group

    SPA Future Thinking has acquired the Munro Group, which incorporates FDS International and Maven Research, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition makes SPA Future Thinking the UK’s leading independent market researcher, with a turnover of approximately £20 million.  The acquisition follows the merger of SPA Market Research and Future Thinking (formerly The Oxford Research Agency) in September 2010.

  • Carillion plc acquires entire issued ordinary share capital of Eaga plc

    Carillion plc Friday announced its acquisition of the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Eaga plc, completed in accordance with its terms.

    Commenting on the Acquisition, John McDonough, Carillion Chief Executive said the acquisition of Eaga is an important strategic step in Carillion's development. The combination of Carillion and Eaga brings together two highly complementary businesses and creates a scalable platform to build the UK’s largest independent energy services provider, said McDonough.
